Common-pool resources and governance in sustainability transitions

چکیده
Common-pool resources (CPRs) are critical in sustainability transitions. They often important means for environmental and societal innovation, object of unsustainable extraction governance practices. We argue why CPRs their matter transitions point to issues further research: (i) conceptualization light common-pool governance; (ii) the roles, potentials, challenges commoning practices, beyond market–state dichotomy; (iii) interactions between commons with markets/firms state/governments processes These overarching bring fresh perspectives literature: CPRs/commons help advance integration ecological socio-technical systems non-excludable affect entrepreneurial activity innovation dynamics system; add new viewpoints question directionality conclude by advocating building bridges institutional economics, social practice theory.
